Google presents the first beta of Android 13 QPR 2

Android 13

Google releases the second beta of the quarterly

update to Android 13 for Pixel phones

Google has published on the Android Developers' platform the first beta of QPR2, an Android update for Pixel devices

It upgrades over QPR1 and brings a handful of improvements, such as bug fixes and stability and performance improvements.

There are no major changes from QPR1, and unlike other software packages, this software is not limited to a group of users; On the contrary, everyone can join the beta and report problems.

Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1 will reach everyone who opted for the previous bundle and hasn't opted out since.

Two adjustments are highlighted in the release notes as updates, and they address a problem with the System UI that rendered the home screen unresponsive as well as a problem with moving from Slow Motion to regular camera mode and continuing to capture Slow Motion video.

The upgrade introduces a number of new modifications outside of the published release notes, and those changes have already been noticed.

Support for Unicode 15 emoji, an updated taskbar tutorial that replicates the temporary taskbar design, automatically converting themed icons for incompatible apps in the Pixel launcher, the ability to control smart home devices directly from the lock screen, and other changes are among the new features offered in the new design.
