In a tweet on Twitter, Elon announced the change of Twitter's name to X
Elon Musk tweeted that the new Twitter logo, the letter X, would go live tonight and spread globally tomorrow after declaring on Sunday that he would like to update the current logo.
When asked if he intended to modify the Twitter logo during an audio chat on the Twitter Spaces app, Musk replied affirmatively and made it obvious that he adores the letter X.
He expressed his ambition to turn Twitter into a comprehensive platform comparable to the Chinese service WeChat in another tweet by posting a photo of himself creating the letter X with his arms in front of the Tesla logo. He had already changed the name of Twitter's company to X Corp.
On the other hand, a report said that the market value of Dogecoin increased as a result of Musk's declaration last month that the Twitter logo would change from the cat to the dog, which serves as the symbol for the cryptocurrency.
Users and marketing experts have criticized Twitter over Musk's intentions to restrict the number of tweets that individual accounts can read each day.
Due to this disruption, Meta's Threads platform became a Twitter competitor and within five days of becoming live, had more than 100 million sign-ups.
