Oppo will leave France to focus on other markets
To focus on other markets before leaving France, the Chinese manufacturer Oppo has started to stop selling its goods there.
Additionally, Young Technology, Oppo's sole distributor in France, has indicated that it will cease operations there, according to the French website Fandroid.
According to earlier rumors, Oppo and OnePlus would abandon the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
The two companies have already exited the German market, notwithstanding their earlier assertions that they were quitting any European markets.
The Chinese "BBK Electronics" company, which includes OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo, lost a legal battle with Nokia over a patent dispute without coming to any form of settlement or accord, which was a clear indication that it should stop doing business in that country.
The Chinese company is adamant about quitting the French market, and it is anticipated that the other companies in the group would do the same. Obo has won a preliminary court decision in France in favor of Nokia.
In a related development, OPPO recently stopped using its social networking profiles there.
In the future, consumers in France won't be able to acquire OPPO products via the official distributor; instead, they will have to buy them from independent retailers or from other nearby European nations.
However, according to OPPO, its clients will continue to have access to post-purchase support and planned system updates.
