Samsung and NEXON work together to release the first HDR10 + game in the world.

The debut of the first game to use the HDR10+ GAMING high dynamic range standard, developed by HDR10+ Technologies, was announced by Samsung today, Monday.

The First Descendant, a game that was developed in collaboration with the company Nexon, will be unveiled at the games exhibition Gamescom 2023, according to the top South Korean manufacturer of visual display screens, who announced this in a blog post.

According to Samsung's announcement, HDR10+ GAMING technology offers gamers the best HDR gaming experience possible by delivering richer colors, greater contrast, and greater brightness.

Additionally, it makes it possible for a more accurate representation of detail in both dark shadows and bright highlights, enabling players to completely engage in their gaming experience.

The business claims that HDR10+ GAMING technology promotes an improved experience and does away with the inconvenience of making numerous manual adjustments. Supporting low frequency and variable latency, it provides improved gameplay with almost instantaneous responses.

Additionally, the standard gives programmers the resources necessary to enable consistent and dependable HDR gaming on all HDR10+ GAMING displays.

The First Descendant, according to Samsung, is expected to be the first game to completely embrace the HDR10+ GAMING standard and will provide players one of the most responsive, accurate, and fluid HDR gaming experiences to date.

To give the industry an open source, royalty-free standard for dynamic metadata, Samsung co-developed HDR10+ Technologies in 2018.

Over 7,000 approved devices, including TVs, monitors, projectors, smartphones, tablets, and set-top boxes, are now a part of the HDR10+ ecosystem, which has since expanded to include 155 partners.

On September 19, open beta testing for The First Descendant will start, giving players around the chance to "live experience the most realistic HDR gameplay."
