A new feature is in threads from X (formerly Twitter).

In a move that makes the platform more like X (previously Twitter), which was initially designed to pull the rug out from under it, Threads has added two new features that concentrate on republished posts.

The functionality was introduced by Adam Mosseri, the CEO of Meta's Instagram photo and video-sharing service, in a post on Threads on Thursday. Instagram is the foundation of the new platform.

"There are two minor updates to Threads that are worth noting," Mosseri continued. To make it easier to view all posts from Threads that you have reposted, we are adding a new report tab to your profile.

(Mosseri) added that the social networking site, which was opened to all users in early July, also added posts that were reposted on the (followers) page. He confirmed that this function was a user request.

The two reposting features follow Threads' earlier this month introduction of the ability to share posts via Instagram direct messages, a new method for adding custom text to images and videos that are part of posts, as well as a new button for quickly mentioning To someone's account in Threads publications.

After just five days of its inception, the platform (Threads) gained more than 100 million subscribers, proving to be a huge success for Instagram and Meta.

However, statistics from research companies Sensor Tower and Similarweb revealed that the service's growth and engagement in the week that followed witnessed a little decline.

In response to the site losing more than half of its users in the weeks following its launch, which generated a sensation, Zuckerberg informed employees at the end of last July that company executives are particularly focused on strengthening the retention of Threads users.
