TweetDeck is formally made a paid service by X.
TweetDeck is currently being transformed into a paid service that needs the usage of a verified account by X Inc., formerly known as Twitter.
Only verified account owners who pay for the X Premium service, formerly known as Twitter Blue, will have access to Tweetdeck.
When using TweetDeck to access their X account, users will be routed to the sign-up page.
In addition, X announced in early July that the name of the "TweetDeck" platform had changed to "XPro" and that it was limited to users of the site with memberships. X had stated at the time that the new modifications would be implemented within a month, which was indeed done.
This latest shift is just one of many significant shifts the platform has gone through since it was acquired at the end of last year in a $44 billion deal by Elon Musk.
The company acquired TweetDeck in 2011, and the platform now supports multiple accounts and content customization, making it a powerful tool for journalists, influencers, marketers, and other people who use Twitter - now called Twitter X - in their daily work. Previously, TweetDeck was available for free.
Many advantages are available to VX subscribers, including the ability to prioritize long posts for visibility, share them with followers, display the recognizable authentication tag next to the user's name, participate in the platform's revenue-sharing program, upload lengthy videos, edit posts, and now have exclusive access to TweetDeck.
