Microsoft releases an updated version of its Notes app.
A new edition of Microsoft's Sticky Notes Windows application has been released.
Within its other Notes application within the OneNote office suite, Microsoft has made the updated version of the program accessible for testing.
According to Microsoft, the new application is still in the early phases of testing and will operate separately from the OneNote program in future releases.
The Sticky Notes app has been updated with new capabilities, the most significant of which is an easier way to snap screenshots of documents, online pages, and applications and to create notes.
The program saves the URL to a webpage when you take a screenshot so you can easily view it at a later time by simply pressing a button.
It is interesting to note that Microsoft, which has become accustomed to integrating its AI assistant, Copilot, into many basic Windows programs, did not add it to the sticky notes application.
The application's fundamental functions, including the ability to create many notes, adjust their color, format text within them, synchronize notes across multiple devices, and more, were retained by the company.
When logged in with the same account, the firm lets users access sticky notes via the OneNote app, which is accessible on iOS and Android.
The updated sticky notes application is now available for customers of the Microsoft 365 office suite beta to test out. Future upgrades are anticipated to make it available to all users at a later date.
