Samsung is the market leader for TVs worldwide.
In 2023, Samsung was the market leader for TVs worldwide. From 2006 to the present, this is the eighteenth consecutive year that Samsung has held this position.
Samsung alone achieved a market share of 30.1% in 2023, according to data released by the market research organization "Omdia," and the business sold over 8.31 million QLED and Neo QLED TVs in the previous year.
Sales of these smartphones have surpassed 44 million units since their 2017 introduction.
Additionally, Samsung continued to dominate the market for high-end, expensive TVs, namely TVs that cost more than $2,500 or had a screen size of 75 inches or higher. In 2023, it accounted for 60.5% of sales in this category, up 12.2% from 2023 to 2022.
Sales of OLED TVs are likely to rise this year, as Samsung represents 22.7% of the market and since its inception in 2022, Samsung has sold more than one million devices.
With a 53% market share, LG was the industry leader in OLED TV sales for the eleventh consecutive year, having sold 3 million of them in 2023.
Samsung said that the reason it has been the world's top TV manufacturer for 18 years is due to the trust of its customers and that it will keep releasing new inventions that will “make consumers’ daily lives more valuable in the future.”
