The first update for the Samsung Galaxy S24.
The first system upgrade for Samsung's latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S24, which was unveiled in January, has been officially announced.
Based on complaints from some users about the lack of a noticeable difference between natural and bright color modes when switching between them, the Korean company stated on its official website that the new update will address the problem of colors not appearing on the screen in a sufficiently bright and clear manner when bright color mode is activated.
Samsung concedes that some people are unhappy with this shift and that they would have preferred brighter, more intense colors, but it also affirms that it purposefully made the colors on the Galaxy S24 screen look very natural.
The latest version includes a new slider in the screen's display settings that allows the user to adjust the brilliance of color to their preferred level.
Additionally, Samsung stated that the latest update enhances the Galaxy S24 phone camera's capabilities with relation to zoom, capturing self-portraits, night photography, and recording videos with the back camera—all without providing any particular information about these enhancements.
Since the One UI 6.1 sub-update is the default update on the new Galaxy S24 phones, the company is still testing it in advance of releasing it on other smartphone versions. The new update is anticipated to arrive on all Galaxy S24 devices that are currently on the market in February.
