The world's most potent AI office workstation goes on sale on the GPTshop website.
At the SIGGRAPH conference on April 8, 2023, NVIDIA unveiled a new iteration of the GH200 processor, the first graphics processing unit with HBM3e memory ever.
The goal of the NVIDIA GH200 platform is to lead the way in accelerated computing by evaluating and carrying out the most difficult generative AI tasks. NVIDIA hopes to create a semi-integrated design that meets the expanding demand in the high-performance computing (HPC) sector with this intricate architecture, which integrates the graphics processing unit (GPU) and the central processor unit (CPU).
GPTshop.ai has started offering the GH200 CPU as part of a desktop AI workstation, despite the fact that this platform is meant for massive data centers. The Grace processor and the H200 graphics processing unit are now available from NVIDIA, if you have $41,000 to spare.
The Grace Hopper (GH200) desktop workstation has a memory bandwidth of up to 512 GB/s and a 72-core central processor based on the Arm Neoverse V2 architecture. It also has 480GB of LPDDR5X memory.
Additionally, it includes the Hopper-based H200 graphics processing unit, which has 528 Tensor cores and 132 SM units, or 16,896 thousand CUDA cores. Notably, the AI desktop workstation is available in both the HBM3 memory version and the most recent HBM3e version.
With this computer, the memory size will be 96 GB for the HBM3 version and up to 4 TB for the HBM3e version; in contrast, the memory size will be 144 GB for the HBM3e version and up to 5 TB for the memory bandwidth.
A mouse and keyboard, an NVIDIA RTX card, an 8TB SSD, a 30TB HDD, Noctua fans and coolers, and optional accessories like an NVIDIA Bluefield-3 and ConnectX-7 network card are all included with the desktop workstation. 4060 to enable the workstation for ray tracing.
Because Arm CPUs do not function well with this system, the only operating system you can use to run this machine is Ubuntu. Relying on Windows is not an option.
