Twitter has turned into a one-stop-shop for writing

To keep pace with the development of social networks, Twitter allows the publishing of books

The billionaire Elon Musk-owned company Twitter is working on a new feature that will let users publish lengthy articles on the site. Users will be able to upload multi-media, sophisticated articles.

Users will be able to publish books, Musk said to one of the users.

And to enhance the writing and reading experiences on the site, Twitter recently doubled the maximum number of tweet characters allowed for paid Twitter Blue users to 25,000 characters.

Previously Twitter dabbled in long-form writing tools like Notes for Writers and bought a competing startup called Revue, but all of those initiatives were later put on hold under Elon Musk's leadership.

Since its launch in 2006, Twitter has distinguished itself as a platform for microblogging, but under Musk's guidance, it realized that to compete with other social networks like Facebook and news publishing services, it had to evolve into a comprehensive platform for writing.

Twitter wants to draw in more writers and creators to its platform, so it recently announced the launch of a program that will increase the platform's appeal to them by giving them a share of the advertising revenue that appears in the replies to the tweets they publish.
