Full-screen advertisements won't display as often on Android 14
Google is developing a new feature for Android 14 that can restrict ads from appearing in full-screen mode.
Android 14 will allow users to decide whether apps and games can display notifications in full-screen mode, says ''Android'' researcher Michel Rahman.
Users can disable this permission to stop apps and games from displaying screen ads, which is annoying to everyone.
After installing Android 14 later this year, users will need to explicitly disable this option for any installed apps.
It is vital to note that some crucial programs, such as communication and alarm clock apps, profit from having the ability to display alerts in full-screen mode. If this permission is disabled in these applications, the functionality may be compromised.
Along with paid subscriptions, advertisements are a major source of income for applications, games, and websites; yet, they occasionally become obtrusive and out of control.
Google has released five trial versions of the Android 14 operating system to date. The trial period is set to expire soon, and Google will then release the final stable version for Google Pixel devices and for the other Android device manufacturers to modify and make it work with their devices.
Many new features and enhancements are included in the Android 14 operating system, including capabilities that optimize battery life, increase user privacy and device security, and provide users new ways to personalize the user interface by generating wallpaper using artificial intelligence.
