Microsoft releases a business-focused version of the Edge browser.
On all platforms and operating systems, Microsoft has officially released a new corporate edition of its Edge browser.
Edge for Business is a brand-new, enterprise-focused interface that enables businesses and organizations to customize their settings for maximum security and productivity.
With a few tweaks that improve the browsing experience for business, Edge Browser for Business is similar to the ordinary version of the browser.
In addition to the new settings, Microsoft also sought to distinguish the new version with a redesigned icon and a few modest visual modifications in the interface.
Microsoft gives company owners control over the Edge business browser's browsing policies and settings.
The new browser allows users to separate their personal and professional surfing activities and does not sync personal data users in the professional browsing session.
The browser can lessen the surface area that is vulnerable to intrusions, improving the security situation for businesses and organizations.
Users who sign in with both a work account and a personal account will benefit from an improved surfing experience because some websites will move between the two accounts automatically.
The new browser may be used immediately after checking in with a specific Microsoft Entra ID account, so there is no need to download it separately.
According to Microsoft, the new browser will be deployed later with upcoming upgrades. Microsoft's developers are now working on new features and enhancements for the new browser.
The new browser was first introduced by Microsoft at its annual developer conference in May of last year.
