Translate emails directly

Google starts the Gmail application's translation function.

Google has begun integrating the Translate tool into its Gmail email client.

Users of the new functionality may now translate emails right from the Gmail app on Android and iOS.

Users will be able to access the new functionality gradually beginning today and continuing over the next few days and weeks.

The ability to translate emails has long been a part of Gmail on the web thanks to Google.

As anticipated, the feature automatically recognizes emails written in a foreign language and offers to translate them into the user's language, which is configured as the operating system's default language.

When you click on the banner at the top of the email that offers translation into your language, the message is displayed translated with the choice to always translate from a foreign language or to display the original content. For additional advanced options, click the settings icon.

More than a hundred other languages, including Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Chinese, and others, can now be translated into and out using the new capability.

The new functionality eliminates the need for users to rely on outside programs to translate email messages because it will save them a lot of time, shorten several stages, and simplify the email communication process.

Along with users of Google Workspace, Google provides free personal account holders access to the translation feature in Gmail.
