X permits premium customers to use the option to hide likes.
The social networking site X announced earlier the launch of a feature that allows users with verified accounts who subscribe to the platform’s paid plans to hide their likes.
Verified account holders can now hide the “Likes” tab from their personal accounts using a new option in the account customization options.
When this option is turned on, the Likes tab is hidden from other users and can only be viewed by the account holders themselves, although likes for individual posts are still visible.
Verified account holders can use this option to freely like posts on the network without being concerned about their like history being recorded.
Subscribers have had the option to hide their verification mark since X first introduced the feature.
Regular users of the platform will not be able to control or hide the Likes tab from other users.
All users of competing topics can only view the list of posts they liked; By default, the Likes tab is hidden from view.
It's unclear if X intends to extend the ability to hide likes to all users in the future. However, a variety of customers who desire more privacy and control over their data may find this option appealing.
X wants to customize the platform's security settings, including support for passkeys, which let users log in using their fingerprints or faces rather than conventional passwords.
