OpenAI officially releases ChatGPT for Android
Last Tuesday, OpenAI made the Google Play Store listing for ChatGPT public. Pre-orders for ChatGPT for Android had already begun, according to the business.
The program has been gradually made available to users of the most widely used playback devices worldwide.
Similar steps were adopted for Apple's iOS version of the program, which saw its initial release staggered and later expansion into more nations.
The first nations to receive the app were the United States, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil. The business stated plans to make the app available in more nations over the course of the next week
The availability of ChatGPT for Android is anticipated to broaden the chatbot's audience even more. According to market research firm Statcounter's analysis of the mobile device market for June 2023, the Android operating system holds a sizable portion of it, accounting for around 70.79 percent of it.
Despite iOS's far smaller market share, which is estimated to be around 28.44 percent, more than half a million iPhone users downloaded the ChatGPT app in the first week of its release.
With its capacity to respond to queries in conversational, human-like English, OpenAI's chatbot is also changing the field of generative AI. Due to its distinctive skills, this robot, which was introduced at the end of November of last year, was highly appreciated.
