Down When Users Request Threads adds the Following
Due to popular demand, Threads, a social media platform, has introduced a brand-new feature called Following. Instead of other content from other followers that displays on the For You page, this feature allows users to view postings from people they follow in chronological order.
When Meta, the company that owns the Threads platform, got numerous requests from users to add this functionality, CEO Mark Zuckerberg replied, "Ask and it shall be given."
According to the firm, another update to the platform will allow users to arrange their activity summary according to follow-ups, quotes, and reposts. It will also allow users to see their favorite posts in their settings and translate them into other languages.
Advertisers would like to add more capabilities like time feeds and hashtag searches to enhance their ad campaigns.
Despite receiving more than 100 million memberships in the first five days of its release, Threads experienced some growth and engagement slowdowns the following week, according to data from research firms Sensor Tower and Similarweb.
