Apple plans to make the iPhone 15 phones' charging speeds faster.
With the move to the USB C connector, Apple intends to improve the charging rate of the forthcoming iPhone 15 phones to 35 watts.
And according to sources cited by 9to5mac, at least certain variants of the iPhone 15 will feature faster charging.
The newest iPhone 14 phones enable rapid charging up to 27 watts, and when using a charger of 20 watts or above, the battery can be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes.
Apple may advise users to utilize its chargers with a power of 30 watts or greater if the charging rate is increased to 35 watts.
Chargers for iPhones are not included in the purchase box by Apple; instead, customers must buy them separately, either from Apple or from other businesses.
Additionally, prior press reports had suggested that Apple would speed up charging in the upcoming iPhone models in conjunction with switching from the Lightning port to USB C, though some sources had speculated that Apple might restrict the faster charging speed to the more expensive iPhone 15 Pro models without including the less expensive basic models.
It is important to note that some high-end Android phone models are now coming with chargers that can produce up to 120 watts of power, enabling them to finish a battery charge in just 20 minutes.
The iPhone 15 series is anticipated to be unveiled by Apple in September at its customary yearly event and to go on sale in the same month.
